FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide services outside the Klang Valley?

For outstation projects within Peninsular Malaysia, an additional 20% fee applies to cover transportation and logistics costs. For projects in East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak), Malaysian islands, or Singapore, the outstation charges are calculated differently based on your project’s needs.

What are your wall textures made of?

Our wall textures are crafted from a blend of quartz sand, marble powder, resin, and other natural minerals — creating durable and beautifully refined finishes. Each design is fully handcrafted on-site, not prefabricated or sold in panels, ensuring every wall is unique and tailored to your space.

Can I request for a sample?

We’d love to invite you to visit our showroom to explore our full range of textures and designs, as we don’t have ready-made samples available.

For homeowners

Samples can be requested after your showroom visit, based on the specific design you’re interested in. This ensures the sample you receive is customised to your preferred texture and colour tone.

For designers (proposal or client presentation purposes)

If you’re requesting a sample for proposal or presentation purposes, you’re welcome to bring your client along to our showroom. Our professional consultant will assist in presenting and closing the deal together with you.

For outstation clients or designers

If you’re located outside the Klang Valley, we’ll connect you with our consultant to recommend suitable designs and colour tones before we customise a sample for your project.

Sample charges

Samples are subject to a charge, but the fee will be waived by deducting it from the final quoted project price once the project is confirmed.

What do I need to provide to get a quotation?

You may provide us with the following details to help us prepare an accurate quotation:

● The design or texture style you’re interested in

● The wall size or dimensions you wish to apply the texture on

● Your project or site details (for location and quotation reference)

Do you provide interior design (ID) services?

Yes, we do. Our interior design team — Unicraft Concept — specializes in crafting spatial designs that incorporate our artisan wall textures, whether for residential or commercial projects. We can also arrange a free one-to-one consultation to help you discover the design style that best matches your personality and needs.

How are your textures applied?

Our wall textures are crafted using a plastering method, where the material is hand-applied directly onto the wall or suitable backing surface. This handcrafted process ensures every wall is unique in texture, colour, and character.

For an area of around 100 sqft, the process typically takes 3–4 days, including:

1.Applying the base materials

2.Crafting and shaping the textures

3.Drying and curing

4.Applying the colours — using our self-mixed concentrated pigments, not regular paint, to achieve depth and richness in tone

When is the best stage to enquire and decide the wall textures?

The best time to enquire and decide on wall textures is during the design planning or renovation stage, before painting or final finishing works begin. This ensures that the wall preparation meets our installation requirements and allows seamless coordination with your designer or contractor.

Since our schedule is often booked 2–3 months in advance, especially during festive seasons such as Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, and Aidilfitri, we recommend enquiring and confirming early to secure your preferred installation slot and avoid delays.

Can I get a quote as soon as possible? (For tender projects)

For larger or outstation projects, the payment structure may vary slightly depending on the project scope and duration — our consultant will advise accordingly before confirmation. We accept bank transfer and credit card payments (available only at our showroom). For installation payments made via credit card, please check with our consultant for further details.

Can your textures be applied outdoors?

Our textures are generally not encouraged for outdoor applications. This is mainly because:

● They require high maintenance when exposed to acid rain, humidity, and weather changes.

● Each texture is a handcrafted art piece, and outdoor exposure may affect its durability and appearance.

● These finishes are best appreciated indoors, where lighting and spatial design highlight their full beauty and craftsmanship.

Are Unicraft textures waterproof?

Our textures are not fully waterproof, but they are water-resistant once sealed. They can handle light moisture or occasional splashes.

How long can the wall textures last?

Our wall textures are highly durable and can last well over half a decade — or even longer — with proper care and maintenance. Each design is made using premium mineral-based materials such as quartz sand, marble powder, and resin, which provide strong adhesion and lasting stability. For long-term upkeep, we also offer our U-Care service, which allows clients to arrange for touch-ups to keep their textured walls looking as beautiful as day one.

What should I do after the wall texture installation?

After installation, your wall will go through a curing and stabilising period to ensure the texture and colour set perfectly.

Here are a few simple post-care guidelines:

● Avoid touching or cleaning the wall surface for at least 5–7 days after completion to allow it to fully cure.

● Maintain good ventilation in the area to help the texture dry and stabilise naturally.

● Refrain from placing furniture or decorations too close to the wall during the first week to prevent accidental scratches or stains.

● Avoid using any cleaning products or moisture on the wall until it’s completely dry.

● Once the curing period is over, you may clean gently using a soft duster or blower for regular maintenance.

What should I do if there are small cracks, colour differences, or minor defects after installation?

Our wall textures are fully handcrafted, and each design is unique — slight variations in tone and texture are natural and part of the artisanal charm. However, if you notice:

● Hairline cracks appearing after the wall has cured

● Slight colour differences due to natural material reaction or lighting

● Minor stains or marks caused during site activity

Please contact us through the project group and provide clear photos of the affected area. Our team will review the condition and arrange for touch-up or rectification work to restore the design consistency. To prevent damage or uneven patching, we strongly recommend that no other contractors work on the textured wall surface after completion.
